Honored to Have Participated in the Official Launch of Uganda’s ICT Intellectual Property Guidelines

I’m honored to have participated in the Official Unveiling of the Uganda ICT Intellectual Property (IP) Guidelines, launched by the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance, in partnership with JICA and URSB.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in protecting creators' rights and accelerating innovation within the ICT sector. The guidelines are built upon five transformative objectives:

🔹 Igniting Innovation
🔹 Promoting Best Practices
🔹 Facilitating Shared Infrastructure
🔹 Safeguarding IP Rights
🔹 Unlocking Commercialization

These IP Guidelines are designed to support all innovators and developers building solutions for both the government and the public, covering the entire IP value chain — from ideation to commercialization.

By empowering innovators with the tools and knowledge to protect their intellectual assets, Uganda is investing in its digital future and strengthening its innovation ecosystem. 🌍💡

A big thank you to all the partners and stakeholders who made this possible. Let’s continue to champion innovation, protection, and progress.
